Megashells are massive, missle-shaped constructs that are filled with clockwork drones. They are fired at near the speed of light from existing Clockwork planets to new potential planets to be converted into shield platforms. Ever since their recommsion to work for the Legion, it has become common to see these shells hurled at enemy planets or planets partially corrupted by the Extemos. They are constructed fairly sturdily and usually penetrate fairly deeply into the crust of the planet on impact, and it is not unheard of for a particularly accurate shot to reach the mantel of the target. Once the shell has settled, it deploys a digging module while the drones unload and begin advancing on the surface. Once this module reaches molten metal, the forge activates and begins producing more drones and pieces for upgrading itself and assembling increasingly powerful units.
